Turkish hotel faces criticism for offering free meals without wives

Zaitan, a well-known Turkish restaurant in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province, came under fire for making a "controversial" offer to its customers on the occasion of Pakistan's 74th Independence Day.

In a Facebook post on August 13, Zaitan, a well-known Turkish food hotel on Karachi's Shaheed Millat Road, offered married men free food and real freedom without their wives.

In the advertisement of 'Olive', it was written addressing the married men that on the occasion of this celebration of independence, they should dare to come to Olive without their wives and celebrate true freedom. The advertisement also offered free food to the men and issued a warning to such people.

For those who come for free meals without wives, a warning was issued that in case of any emergency, there is a first aid kit at the hotel which will come in handy.Following the hotel's advertisement, many criticized the management, calling it anti-women and against Pakistani traditions.
