New oil and gas fields have been discovered in northern Saudi Arabia, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said, adding that Aramco has discovered two new oil and gas fields in the northern part of the kingdom.
According to the Saudi news agency, Al-Jawf area is located in Hizbat al-Hujra gas field and Abraq al-Tulul oil field and gas field in the northern Hudood region.
The Hujjat al-Hujrat gas field is located east of the city of Sakaka. It will produce 16 million cubic feet of gas per day.
The Saudi Minister of Energy said that unconventional high-grade light Arab oil has been discovered in the Abraq al-Tulul field.
The field is located southeast of the city of Arar. It will produce 3,189 barrels of oil per day. It will also have 1.1 million cubic feet of gas.
2.4 million cubic feet of gas is emitted from Abraq al-Tulul field on a daily basis, it is rich in 49 barrels of condensate gas.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman added that Saudi Aramco would continue to inspect petrol, gas and condensate gas in both fields, while more wells would be drilled to determine the volume and area of both fields.
