The first Arab country to launch a nuclear plant, a new history.

A major country in the Arab world has set a new record by launching a nuclear power plant.

Reuters quoted the UAE Atomic Energy Corporation as saying that the UAE has launched its first nuclear power plant and started start-up operations there.

The plant, built in Abu Dhabi, is being built by the Korea Electric Power Corporation.

According to Reuters, the plant was supposed to be completed in 2017, but it was delayed due to some reasons and has now been reopened.

According to the Emirates Atomic Energy Corporation, Nawa Energy Company has successfully commissioned Unit One of the Satg Barkha Nuclear Power Plant.

Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, called the nuclear plant the world's first peaceful nuclear energy reactor, adding that four parts of the first unit of the plant had been refueled.

Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Hamdani, chief executive of the Emirati Atomic Energy Corporation, says that a quarter of our population will benefit from this plant, while our mission is to provide free electricity to the people in the future.
