The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has formally launched an investigation into the mysterious suicide of film actor Sushant Singh and has re-registered an FIR with the Bihar Police. The CBI has named six other accused in the Sushant Singh suicide case, including film actress Riya Chakraborty and Siddharth. At the Rajiv Nagar police station in Bihar, Sushant Singh's father KK Singh had registered a case against Riya Chakraborty and others. Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14 in his Mumbai apartment. The actor had committed suicide by hanging, after which the Mumbai police is investigating the whole matter. However, Sushant's case has now been handed over to the CBI. The CBI has registered an FIR against six people, including Riya Chakraborty, and new revelations have been made in the case every day since then.

Riya Chakraborty, the key accused in the alleged suicide of Bollywood actor Shashant Singh Rajput, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday. The ED had summoned Riya Chakraborty today for questioning in the money laundering case. Actress Riya Chakraborty has been questioned. Riya Chakraborty was accompanied by her brother and father in the ED's office.

Riya Chakraborty had asked the ED to adjourn the hearing against her till the matter was heard in the Supreme Court, but the investigating agency rejected her appeal. Riya's lawyer Satish Manishinde had said that his client had requested the ED to adjourn the hearing. The Central Agency is probing a money laundering case against Riya Chakraborty and her family members following a complaint lodged by Sushant's family.
