Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh passes away

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh has passed away. He had been ill for about 6 months. While undergoing treatment in Singapore, Amar Singh lost the battle of life on Saturday afternoon. Amar Singh has been admitted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for the past seven months. Only his wife was present with him at the last moment. The story of Amar Singh's rise and fall in his political journey was written over two decades. At one time he was the most influential leader of the Samajwadi Party and had a strong presence, but was also marginalized. After the command of the Samajwadi Party passed into the hands of Akhilesh Yadav, he had to withdraw from the Samajwadi Party.
