Pakistani actress Atiqa Odho has been acquitted of alcohol charges

Leading actress Atiqa Odho has been acquitted of a liquor case. A case was registered against her in 2011 for exporting two bottles of liquor.

Civil Court Rawalpindi Judge Yasir Chaudhry honorably acquitted actress Atiqa Odho for not finding any evidence in the liquor case. After the verdict, the actress had to say that the verdict was finally received even though it was late. Atiqa Odho was accused of smuggling liquor from Islamabad to Karachi. A case of liquor smuggling was registered against the actress on June 7, 2011 at the airport police station on the suo motu notice of former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.

During the long period of 9 years, there were 210 appearances and 16 changes of judges.
