Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz is asking for NRO.

 

Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz has opened a new Pindra box and shared the documents of the alleged NRO sought by the PML-N on social media, which has sparked a new debate.

 In a Twitter message, Shibli Faraz shared the pages of the proposed amendments by the PPP and the PML-N to amend the Accountability Ordinance 1999. He also wrote, Who asked for the NRO? These are the sources and documents through which the NRO was sought. The Information Minister said that history has shown that every time the PML-N leadership fled the country and the law. Which way is it?

Documents shared by Shibli Faraz on Twitter state that after ordering the investigation or at the time of the inquiry, before or after the commencement of the trial or while the appeal is pending, any government official or anyone If the other person offers to return the assets or benefits acquired as a result of a crime, then under this Ordinance, the Chairman of the NAB, considering the facts and aspects of the case, considers it at his discretion and the terms and conditions as he deems necessary. With that in mind, you can accept this type of offer.

According to the document, if any other person holding a public office agrees to refund the amount fixed by the Chairman NAB, the case may be referred to the court or appellate court for approval. It will be sent to the court. The document said that if the chairman NAB refuses such an offer, the government official or any person can approach the court directly for consideration or approval of the offer.

According to the proposed amendments shared by Shibli Faraz, the NAB will not file an investigation, inquiry or reference for the alleged crime after 5 years have elapsed since the commission of the crime or transfer of funds. The document stated that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) No action will be taken on the allegations in the following situations:

i) Complaint made under anonymous or fictitious name.

ii) which does not include public money.

iii) The amount involved is less than one billion rupees.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan and members of the government often accuse the opposition of asking for NRO, while the Prime Minister often repeats in his speeches that no matter what happens, he will not give NRO to the opposition.
