The orders were issued by the Interior Ministry to the Department of Immigration, which explicitly prohibits changes to residence permits for all types of visitor visas.

The ministry has directed that the residence permits of the families of the migrants coming on visit visas have been suspended indefinitely.

In recent days, it was decided to deport 530,000 migrants to balance the population.

According to Kuwaiti media, the implementation of this decision will begin with the deportation of illegal immigrants residing in the country, under which 120,000 migrants will be deported from Kuwait.

According to the report, workers over 60 years of age and migrants suffering from incurable diseases will also be discharged, their number is around 1.5 million.


The Kuwaiti government has also decided to expel illiterate workers or low-educated migrants, numbering more than 90,000.
