California forest fires. 60,000 people displaced.

Forest fires in northern and central California are still raging, with 60,000 people evacuated.

The blaze has spread to 350,000 acres, killing three people, injuring 33 and leaving two missing in various accidents. Forest fires are spreading rapidly in more than 300 places in California. As many as 175 buildings have been destroyed and 50,000 more are at risk.

Authorities have evacuated 60,000 people from the affected areas, while 100,000 people have been instructed to be ready for evacuation if the situation worsens. More than 10,000 firefighters are working to contain the blaze.
