Bihar Police files affidavit in SC



Amid new revelations in the Shashant Singh Rajput death case, Bihar Police has now filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on the reasons for transferring the case to the CBI, which has laid out several important points. In their affidavit filed in the court, Bihar police said that the only purpose of contacting actress Riya Chakraborty and her family members Sshant Singh Rajput was to usurp Sshant's money. Bihar police also said that they had painted a false picture of Sashant's mental illness. An affidavit filed in the Supreme Court by senior police officer Opinder Sharma said that Riya Chakraborty took Shant Singh Rajput to his house and started giving him an overdose of medicine.

In the affidavit, Bihar police said that despite the non-cooperation of Mumbai police, they have found several clues in the investigation. In their reply to the Supreme Court, the police said that since there is a need for investigation in many places in the country. If the CBI investigates the mysterious death of Rajput in many respects, many important things will be revealed.


The affidavit also said that the Bihar police had the power to register an FIR, but was not allowed to do so. At the same time, Mumbai Police has not registered any serious case. Given the gravity of the matter, a CBI probe was recommended.

Meanwhile, Riya Chakraborty's lawyer said that Riya would not take part in the ED's interrogation process on Friday. It may be recalled that Riya Chakraborty was called to the ED's branch office in Mumbai. Meanwhile, the ED rejected Riya Chakraborty's appeal. In fact, Rhea had asked the ED for more time to appear. ED has asked Riya Chakraborty to appear.
