Beirut blast: 'How would a girl who was as strong as a hundred men die?'

A bomb blast near the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on August 4 has killed at least 145 people and injured 5,000 others.

On August 4, when thousands of Beirut citizens were busy with their daily lives, the city was rocked by an explosion.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a Beirut port, damaging dozens of buildings, damaging dozens of vehicles and other facilities, and displacing hundreds of people.

Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Deb and his cabinet resigned two days ago following widespread protests against the ruling class.

The horrific blast on August 4 destroyed most of Beirut's coastal port, killing dozens of people, including 27-year-old Sahar.

Thus, every death is a tragedy that will not be forgotten in itself, but the story of Sahar Faris has gained a lot of attention on social media and people in other parts of the world, including Lebanese citizens, are also saddened by his death.

As soon as the fire was reported, Sahar Faris rushed to the spot with the staff to provide immediate medical aid and lost her life.

The news of Sahar Faris' death as a result of a bomb blast in Beirut is being mourned by social media users. She was 27 years old, engaged and soon to be married.

According to the New York Times, she managed to join the Beirut Fire Brigade, which has almost all male employees, and dedicated herself to serving the public.

Sahar Faris was trained as a nurse and decided to join the civil service in 2018.

She was born in the village of Al-Qa'a in northern Lebanon, near the Syrian border, and dreamed of the comforts and security that she could not find.

Sahar had been engaged to Persia and was about to get married soon. Her family and her fianc are deeply saddened by her death.

Her fiance Gilbert Curran shared a photo of Sahar in a paramedic uniform on Instagram and wrote that our wedding was to take place on June 6, 2021.

Gilbert Curran further wrote that I love magic, do it and will always do it, it will continue until we are together again.

Speaking to the BBC, Gilbert Curran, Sahar's fiance, said she had arrived at the scene and had sent me a video.

"I called Sahar to see what was going on there and told him to run away if there was anything going on," said Gilbert Curran. Once again he said that if something went wrong, run away.

"Sahar started running, she was running and I was screaming, run, run, run," he said.

"I don't remember the exact duration of the phone call, but 9 or 10 seconds later, the first explosion took place and then Sahar's phone rang," he said.

Sahar's fiance said that she was preparing for her wedding and the engagement ring was found on her body. Now Gilbert Curran wears the ring with the chain around his neck.

Gilbert Curran said sadly that he had to marry Sahar in a white dress, but buried him in a white coffin.

He asked his future, "Who can replace magic?" "My heart and mind have heard, I can't feel anything," he said.

Remembering the magic of Persia, Gilbert Curran said, "How can you see a rose-like girl who was as strong as a hundred men, how could she die like this?" "I want someone to explain it to me," he added.

He was buried with full honors in his native village of Al-Qa'a. Sahar's family and relatives showered him with flower petals as they might have done during their marriage.

His death is unbearable for most people in the village of Sahar Fars, and they are more concerned with government corruption and internal turmoil than with external threats to Lebanon.

After his funeral, al-Qa'eda residents were furious, digging up a man who had dedicated himself to a country that is barely active.

On the death of Sahar, the mayor of Al-Qaeda said that our history is one of martyrs and martyrs. He said that the death of Sahar Faris is a message to our young generation that there are people who serve the nation and give their all.

Al-Qaa village named the sports field after Sahar Faris in recognition of his services.
