After Beirut blast, massive fire engulfs Ajman market



Just a day after a huge blast strike Beirut, killing hundreds, another event in Ajman, UAE, has traumatized citizens. An enormous fire surrounded a market in the new industrial area of Ajman at around 6:30 p.m. local time.

Videos of the huge blaze forming a intense cloud over the city are widely circulated viraled on social media. The cause of the fire wasn't known, but the civil defense teams were approached to the scene to control the fire.

An official of Ajman Civil Defense told Khaleej Times that the firefighters controlled the fire in three hours and the cooling operation was ongoing. "Ajman firefighters have cordoned off the site and used water and foam in extinguishing the blazes which have broken out in many shops therein," sources told Khaleej Times. "Four civil defense centers are involved in fighting operation."

 

 

No injuries have been reported from the incident. More details are awaited.
