The Indian Cricket Board suffered a major setback
Mumbai (Daily Pakistan Online) The Indian board has been fined Rs 4,800 crore for suspending an Indian Premier League team. According to Indian media, the arbitrator appointed by the Mumbai High Court has ruled in favor of the Deccan charges. The Indian Cricket Board (ICB) had suspended the Deccan Chargers and handed over the team to the Casey Riser, on which the Deccan Charges had challenged the decision in the Mumbai High Court. The controversy had been going on since 2012. The decision, which has been announced, obliges the Indian board to pay the fine by September 2020. Indian media say the BCCI is likely to challenge the decision in the Mumbai High Court and in this regard. The consultation is ongoing.
