According to the FIR, on June 8, six days before Shashant Singh Rajput's suicide, when Riya Chakraborty saw that there was no money in the actor's bank account, he stole the late actor's credit cards, gold and even a laptop.
A case filed with the police has claimed that after the suicide of his former manager a few days before Sashant Singh's suicide, the actor felt that Riya Chakraborty would accuse him of killing the former manager.
The FIR claims that lakhs of rupees were transferred from Shashant Singh Rajput's bank account to other accounts and Riya Chakraborty also severed ties with his family and forced him to live alone.
It may be recalled that after the suicide of Shashant Singh Rajput, Riya Chakraborty was heavily criticized on social media and was also held somewhat responsible for the actor's suicide.
Riya Chakraborty had also recorded a statement on June 18 to the Mumbai police investigating the suicide of Sshant Singh Rajput, in which he confessed to having links with Sshant Singh Rajput.
Later, there were reports in the media that after his relationship with Riya Chakraborty, Shashant Singh Rajput's depression increased and he began to suffer from mental stress.
The rumors escalated when Riya Chakraborty's hilarious photos with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt went viral in early July.

After which, in her Instagram post on July 16, the actress had demanded from the Union Home Minister Amit Shah that the CBI should investigate the suicide of Shashant Singh Rajput.
In the said post, he shared a picture of Shant Singh Rajput and described himself as his girlfriend.
In the past, Riya Chakraborty had told the Indian media that although she and Shant Singh have been praying for the last eight years, they have been close for the last three years.
The relationship between Shashant Singh and Riya Chakraborty was established in 2017 which turned into love at first sight.
Before Riya Chakraborty, Shashant Singh Rajput also had a brief relationship with actress Kriti Sonan.
