Amir Liaquat announced his resignation from the National Assembly

عامر لیاقت نے قومی اسمبلی سے رکنیت سے مستعفی ہونے کا اعلان کردیا

Karachi: Another Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) National Assembly member from Karachi, Amir Liaquat, has announced his resignation, but has made it clear that he is not leaving the party. He hinted at his resignation in a message on social networking site Twitter in which he said the reason for his resignation was to do nothing to resolve the power crisis in Karachi. In his message, Amir Liaquat said that he had asked Prime Minister Imran Khan He has asked for time to meet in which he will offer his resignation.
In response to this message, a user urged to consider the decision and not to leave Prime Minister Imran Khan, to which Amir Liaquat replied that the question of leaving Khan Sahib does not arise. Earlier, Muhammad Najib Haroon, a founding member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a member of the National Assembly from Karachi's Constituency 256, had resigned from his seat.
He also wrote in the reasons for his resignation that he could not do anything for his constituency or city of Karachi within a period of 20 months so he is not entitled to this position. Meanwhile Amir Liaqat said that I admit that I am in Karachi. I am a helpless member of the National Assembly and unable to provide electricity to the people of my city. He wrote that he did not see the people of Karachi and especially his constituency suffering, sobbing and lying to Mons Alvi (CEO of Electric). Remember that Amir Liaquat started his political journey with Muttahida Qaumi Movement. He was also the Minister of Religious Affairs for three years during the rule of former President Pervez Musharraf, but in March 2018 he joined PTI.
Only a few months later, his bitterness with the PTI leaders came to the fore. It should be noted that the PTI had won the 2018 general elections for the first time with a huge majority from the city leader and he won the National Assembly here. It won 14 seats but dropped to 13 after the resignation of Najib Haroon.
