The most common symptoms of persistent cough and fever have been confirmed in people suffering from the new corona virus disease Code 19.
Other common symptoms include fatigue, loss of sense of smell and difficulty breathing.
The study, by five universities, including the University of Leeds in the UK, confirmed the list of symptoms compiled by the World Health Organization at the onset of the epidemic.
The study collected data from 148 different research reports that identified common symptoms with the help of more than 24,000 patients in nine countries, including the United Kingdom, China and Russia.
The study, published in the medical journal Plus One, is being hailed as the largest study of code 19 symptoms to date.
The researchers also acknowledged that a large number of people infected with the virus may have no symptoms.
After analyzing 24,410 cases, the study found that 78% of patients had a fever, but the rate varied from country to country, with 72% of patients in Singapore reporting it and the rate in South Korea. It was 32%.
Overall, 57% of patients reported a cough, but the rate varied from country to country, such as 76% in the Netherlands and 18% in South Korea.
31% experienced fatigue, 25% lost the sense of smell, and 23% reported difficulty breathing.
The researchers believed that the difference in the rate of common symptoms in different countries was due to the method of data collection.
Of the more than 24,000 patients, 17% did not need a breathing machine, 19% needed an ICU, 9% needed a ventilator, and 2% needed extra oxygen or an artificial lung. Needed
The researchers said that this analysis confirms that cough and fever are the most common symptoms in people suffering from COD 19.
"The research reinforces the fact that we are accurate in diagnosing the underlying symptoms and will help determine who should be tested," he said.
The World Health Organization (WHO) described the symptoms of the epidemic in detail after analyzing more than 55,000 cases in China.
