This beauty pageant contestant is looking to break beauty stereotypes in Mexico Ana Gabriela Molina, 24, was born without arms, a condition called Amelia.
But her disability has not stopped her from seeking the crown of Miss Veracruz. Molina has long challenged narrow concepts of beauty throughout her life.
She has already been crowned Miss Nanchital and has now set her sights on the Miss Veracruz competition for March. She will be the first contestant without arms to participate in that contest, and a win could clear her way to becoming Miss Mexico.
Although brimming with confidence, Molina has suffered from bullying. Taking it in her stride, she now campaigns to demand greater inclusion in state and national beauty pageants.
