9 times stronger, elastic concrete was invented from conventional concrete.

Russian scientists have invented a concrete that is strong and has considerable flexibility, which allows it to withstand much more pressure than ordinary concrete and does not break.

It uses pure cement to strengthen ordinary concrete but cement content in new concrete has been reduced to 60%, while the remaining 40% add rice residue, limestone crushing remnants and silica sand have gone

As a result, two things happened: first, the strength of such concrete remained the same as that of conventional concrete resists.

During the experiments it was found that this new concrete is capable of withstanding 6 to 9 times more pressure than conventional cement; after which it starts to crack.

The feat was carried out by scientists from the Military Studies Center at Russia's "Eastern Federal University" who wanted to create a construction material that was low-cost and strong enough to resist earthquake-resistant buildings to make it even safer.

Full details of this have been published in the latest issue of the research magazine called "Organic Materials: Applied Research."
