Muslim athlete out of competition for wearing hijab.

In the US state of Ohio, the Muslim athlete was excluded from the competition because of wearing a hijab.

According to the British Broadcasting Agency, 16-year-old Muslim athlete Noor Aboukaram, wearing a hijab, was told that his clothing was against the rules of the race.

Athlete Noor said on her Facebook post that her hijab has never been a problem at district level competitions, she has always been representing the Sylvania Northview school team.

Noor added that when the government administration came to inspect his team, he asked a member of the team to change the shorts because it was in violation of their rules, but the administration had given them some hijab at the time. Didn't even say

The athlete said he had also seen his coach talking to the administration during the private talk.

Noor Abu Karam said that as he crossed the 5km race, he was surprised to find that his name was not on the scoreboard, which some of his teammates said he had to wear because of the hijab. Disqualified for competition

The Ohio High School Athletic Association has promised to revise the exemption in future religious rules after the issue was raised, Noor Aboukaram said.

It should be noted that the controversy regarding hijab is nothing new, even last year in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a 16-year-old basketball player was asked to quit playing while wearing his hijab.
