With regard to Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, news has
come out that he has donated 2.5 billion rupees to South Africa's most bold
model for meetings.
It is unclear whether Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri
provided such a large sum of money for meetings or did he benefit from the
money-for-money model.
A new debate has sparked in Lebanon and people have been
opposed to Saad Hariri after an American newspaper revealed the 49-year-old
Prime Minister of Lebanon had lent himself money to a 19-year-old but extremely
bold model.
Where opponents are criticizing Saad Hariri, his supporters
are calling the report baseless, claiming that Saad Hariri did not waste public
money.
According to a report published in the US newspaper The New
York Times, Saad Hariri provided $ 30 million to South Africa's 30-year-old bold
model Candice One Dir-Marie between 2013 and 2015.
According to the report, Saad Hariri provided a significant
amount of money to the South African model at a time when he did not become
prime minister, but he held the key position of his political party.
Saad Hariri became the Lebanese Prime Minister in December
2016, and his eventual payment to the Bold model came at least a year and a
half before he was crowned Prime Minister.
The US newspaper reported in its report that Saad Hariri's
money given to the South African model did not violate Lebanese and South
African laws.
The report states that the documents provided by Saad Hariri
to the South African model were obtained from a South African court, according
to which the model later paid the tax to the government.
According to the report, since Saad Hariri paid the money
before being held in public office, the payment of the amount does not violate
any law in Lebanon or South Africa.
The report also reported that Saad Hariri paid a large sum
of money to the model at a time when his construction company, Saudi Arabia,
was unable to pay salaries to employees.
According to the report, Saad Hariri is among the richest
people in the Middle East, with a wealth of up to $ 90 billion, and most of his
wealth came from assets left by his father, Rafiq Hariri.
Many Lebanese people criticized Saad Hariri after reports
came of a Lebanese prime minister giving him money only for meetings with
models, while his supporters said he spent the money from his personal account.
Saad Hariri has not made any statement since the US
newspaper's report came out, nor has his wife made any statement on the amount
of money spent by her husband for meetings with the model.
Saad Hariri was married to a model and father of two children
when he gave the model a large sum of money for meetings.
Saad Hariri was married in 1988 and has three children,
counted among the favorite Arab rulers in the West, visiting the European
countries regularly.
