The controversy over the Gyan Vapi mosque was already a hot topic of discussion as the message of the Bollywood superstar added fuel to the fire and the controversy intensified.
Expressing his opinion during an interview, Akshay Kumar said that only the government or the archeological department can better explain what has been found in the mosque. I have seen all the videos and I understand that What has been found is that it is 'Chewing'.
It may be recalled that last month, extremists in India sealed the premises of the ancient Gyan Vapi Mosque in Banaras during a survey, claiming that the symbol of the Hindu god Shiva, Shivling, had been recovered from the ablution room.
Extremist Hindus claim that the Gyan Vapi mosque was replaced by the temple of Lord Shiva, which was demolished by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
The campaign to rebuild this mosque has been going on for decades which has been strengthened during the Modi government.
