Former Ukrainian official pleads guilty to telling world lies about Russia

A former Ukrainian official has admitted that she lied to Western nations about the Ukrainian rape of Russian soldiers.

According to foreign media, former Ukrainian parliamentary commissioner for human rights Lyudmila Denisova has admitted that she lied about the mass rape of Ukrainian women by Russian soldiers in order to persuade Western countries to give Ukraine more weapons.

In an interview published by a Ukrainian news agency, Denisova admitted that her lies had served her purpose. "When I spoke to the committee on international affairs in the Italian parliament, I asked her if she had seen any reports of sexual abuse in Ukraine," Denisova said. Did you know that Russian soldiers are abusing Ukrainian women? I told them about such frightening things as to somehow force them to make the decisions that Ukraine and the Ukrainian people need.

Lyudmila Denisova was fired from her post following a no-confidence vote in Ukraine's parliament, which passed by a margin of 234-9. MP Paolo Frolov, in particular, accused Denisova of spreading "false information" about "unnatural sexual crimes" and numerous details of child sexual abuse in Russian-administered territories, which "only harms Ukraine." Delivered because no evidence of these allegations was found.
