Amber Heard can't pay $10 million in damages, lawyer says

Ellen Brady Huff, a lawyer for Hollywood star Amber Heard, has said that Amber is unable to pay more than $10 million in damages.

According to foreign media reports, after losing the defamation suit against her ex-husband 'Pirates of the Caribbean Star' Johnny Depp, Amber Heard's lawyer Elaine Brady Huff said in a statement that Amber paid her ex-husband $10 million.

A Virginia court on Wednesday ruled in favor of Johnny Depp, ordering Amber Heard to pay her ex-husband $10.35 million in damages, while Depp would pay her $2 million.

However, the actress' lawyer, while talking to foreign media, revealed that her client could not pay more than $10 million in damages at all and she also intended to appeal against the court's decision.

The high-profile Virginia lawsuit ended Wednesday when a seven-member jury found that Depp and Hurd had defamed each other, but Amber Hurd made false accusations against her ex-husband, which she proved. The court ruled in Johnny Depp's favor.
