Male anchors wear masks in solidarity with the ruling Taliban in Afghanistan, which has ordered female TV hosts to wear the hijab.

The director of Tolo News, Independent Spy, said that the day was set for the implementation of the order of the Ministry of Enlightenment and Prohibition of Evil.

Another female anchor, Sonia Niazi, said: "I was mentally and morally unprepared for what we were forced to do. It is very difficult to run a 3 hour program with a mask."
Political analyst Sonia Pekan said, "Unfortunately, imposing such restrictions on Afghan women will affect the country."
The Ministry of Enlightenment and Prohibition of Evil said in a statement that implementation of hijab is necessary.
Ministry spokesman Akif Mohajer said: "These are not our words. This is God's command. Covering the face is part of the hijab. went'.
"This is not a good implementation of the hijab, as has been said for women," she said.
It may be recalled that the Supreme Leader of Afghanistan Hebatullah Akhundzada had issued a new order for women this month under which women would cover themselves completely in public places with traditional burqa and face.
The Ministry of Enlightenment and Prohibition of Evil has ordered television hosts to follow suit.
After violating the order issued a day earlier, the television hosts wore full hijab and niqab on Sunday, after which all the channels including Tolo News, Shamshad Television, Ariana Television and One TV, except the eyes of the hosts. The face appeared in hijab.
