Kangana Ranaut demanded change of national language of India

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has demanded a change in the national language of India.

According to Indian media, the actress was talking to the media on the occasion of the trailer launch of her upcoming film 'Dhakkar' on Friday.

Asked by reporters about the Hindi language controversy, Kangana said, "First of all we all have the right to be proud of our language and culture but our country is very diverse in terms of culture and language."

"So we all need a common language to bring it all together," she said.

Kangana said that when the constitution of India was made, Hindi was made the national language. Now look, technically, Tamil is an older language than Hindi but the oldest is Sanskrit. Therefore, in my opinion, Sanskrit should be the national language, not Hindi.

"I have no answer as to why Hindi has been chosen as the national language instead of Sanskrit," she added. But now that the decision has been made, if you do not accept it, you are disrespecting the constitution.

Referring to the controversy between Ajay Devgn and Kakcha Sadeep, Kangana believes that both the actors are right in their own way.

It should be noted that the controversy over the status of Hindi as a national language has once again arisen in India these days.

Recently, actor Kakcha Sadeep from Karnataka had said in a statement on the success of South Indian films that Hindi is no longer the national language of India.

Replying to this, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn tweeted, "My brother, if Hindi is not our national language according to you, then why do you release your films by dubbing in your mother tongue Hindi?"

She said that Hindi would always be the mother tongue and national language of India.

However, there was a lot of discussion between the two actors about the national language, to which the rest of the Bollywood actors and politicians are now responding.
