Russia says Moscow is in talks to end fighting in Ukraine, but will continue to try to destroy Ukraine's military structure.
According to world media, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Russian delegation had presented its demands to the Ukrainian negotiators earlier this week and now they are waiting for Kyiv's response in the next round of talks.
Lavrov said the West has been constantly arming Ukraine, training troops and setting up bases there to turn Ukraine into a fighting force against Russia.
The Foreign Minister further added that Ukraine had become a threat to Russia's security and Russia was forced to take military action.
