Nevada: A woman named Catherine Mourga has accused famous footballer Ronaldo of sexually abusing her in a Las Vegas hotel.
According to the New York Post, the Las Vegas police are investigating the case and say that so far we have enough evidence that we can arrest Ronaldo, but a senior official prevented the police from arresting Ronaldo.
Police have also signed an arrest warrant against Ronaldo, but Nevada Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson has refused to pursue the case.
Leslie Mark Stowell, a lawyer for the alleged victim, said that when the arrest warrant was submitted to the district attorney's office, Steve Wolfson refused to take any legal action against Ronaldo. The lawyer also said that the attorney did not elaborate on his decision.
Steve Wolfson is considered the highest district attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada.
