New Delhi: In the Indian state of Karnataka, the hijab of Muslim female students was taken off at the school gate.
According to Indian media, schools in Karnataka were reopened after being closed for a few days. Students wearing hijab could not reach the government school but were stopped at the gate and the teacher instructed the students to take off their hijab.

Students wearing hijab and burqa were not allowed to attend classes in all schools of Karnataka.
Karnataka High Court hears petition of Muslim students against ban on hijab. The Karnataka High Court has ordered a ban on wearing hijab in educational institutions till the case is decided.
Protests are going on in various cities of India against the ban on hijab.
