The Gulf state of Kuwait has banned the film of Gal Gadot, an American-Jewish actress serving in the Israeli army.
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has confirmed the ban on the upcoming Mystery Thriller film (Death on the Nail) by Gal Gadot.
The Minister of Information and Broadcasting said that Gal Gadot's film will not be released in Kuwait next month.
According to the news agency, the Kuwaiti government banned the film of the Jewish actress after the demand of social media users.
AFP quoted a Kuwaiti newspaper as saying that Kuwaiti social media users had called on the government to ban his film because of his pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian policies.
Most consumers reminded the government that Gaddafi supported Israeli aggression and the military in 2014, while opposing Hamas and calling it a terrorist.
According to consumers, at that time, according to the Israeli aggression, about two and a half thousand Palestinians and 70 Israeli soldiers were killed.
Following demands from social media users, the Kuwaiti government confirmed the ban on the Jewish actress' film.
Earlier, in other Arab countries, including Kuwait, Gal Gadot's film Wonder Woman and other films have been banned.
Kuwait is one of the Arab countries that does not openly support the resumption of relations with Israel.
Currently, a few other countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), have re-established relations with Israel, and the first Israeli president visited there late last month.
Gaddafi has been criticized in other Arab and Muslim countries, including Kuwait, for promoting Judaism and supporting the Israeli army and aggression.
Gal Gadot was chosen Miss Israel in 2004, after which she began modeling and then acting.
Under Israeli law, she, like other Jewish women, has served in the Israeli army for some time and is considered a strict Jew.
