A bomb blast near the French-Spanish border has killed at least seven people, including two children.
According to details, a loud explosion took place in a shop located in Saint Laurent de la Selinki, as a result of which a fire broke out in the building. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a grocery and sandwich shop.
A man inside the crash site jumped out of a first-floor window to save his life, while rescue teams managed to rescue 20 people from the building, but the building is still in danger of collapsing.
The blast and fire have so far killed seven people, including a baby and a newborn.
French Interior Minister Gerald Dormann tweeted condolences to the victims. He said he was canceling his visit to the French city of Montpellier and would arrive at the scene soon.
