A Sri Lankan Australian has set a new world record for catching a ball falling from the highest altitude ever.
The ball was dropped by a drone from a height of about 400 feet. Timothy Shannon said he first tried to set the record in 2019, but the result was that one finger was broken and no record was set.
Two years later, Shannon has managed to set a new record without breaking a finger. The record was set in 2019 by Kirsten Boomgartner of Great Britain, in which the ball was thrown 374 feet while Shannon was 393 feet high.
Shannon told the Guinness Book of World Records that he had dreamed of breaking the Guinness Book of World Records since childhood and that his dream has come true today.
