In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, after the mysterious death of 15 peacocks in Fatehpur area, panic has broken out.
According to Indian media reports, 15 peacocks were found dead by wildlife department officials in Shekhawati area of Fatehpur on Friday.
The deaths of the peacocks have not been determined, which is why their deaths have been declared a mystery.
According to local officials, birds have also been found dead in the last few days. The Wildlife Department has moved the peacocks to a laboratory to determine the cause of death.
Surprisingly, there were no signs of injuries on the bodies of the dying peacocks and they all lay on the ground in the same manner while some of the living peacocks were found half dead.
Local resident Aqil Hussain said it was the first time he had seen such a large number of dead peacocks together, after which he informed the wildlife department about the situation.
