Lady Diana's old royal photographer Anwar Hussain revealed that she had considered converting to Islam before her death so that she could marry Dr Hasnat.
The princess allegedly spoke to 83-year-old Anwar Hussain, the royal family's longest-serving member, during a flight.
Anwar Hussain told a magazine in an interview that when all the lights were dim, Lady Diana whispered to me and asked if I could talk to you.
Anwar Hussain said that he knew that I was married to a white girl, Caroline. She wanted to know more about Islam from me. She was asking about marriage, what would be better to do when one person is a Muslim and the other a Christian.
The former royal photographer added that she was interested because she was in a relationship with (then friend) Dr. Hasnat Khan. Anwar Hussain said that Diana had not mentioned Dr Hasnat. "I think Diana must be wondering how Dr. Hasnat's family would react to all this," he said.
Her father Abdul Rashid Khan had told Dr. Hasnat that if you married Lady Diana, she would not be able to walk for more than a year. We are culturally very different from each other.
Princess Diana died in 1997 in a car accident with film producer Dodi Al Fayed.
