Iran's energy ministry has advised citizens to wear warm clothes to reduce the growing demand for gas in winter.
According to the foreign news agency 'AFP', the Ministry of Oil has urged the citizens to wear warm clothes so that people limit the use of gas heaters in winter.
Iran has the world's second-largest gas and fourth-largest oil reserves after Russia. Gas in Iran is almost free because it is heavily subsidized.
Gas consumption can definitely be reduced by wearing warm clothes and turning off gas appliances (heaters) when leaving home and office, the ministry said.
"We ask people to save their gas consumption so that they can spend the next 10 days without any hassle," he said.
