According to South Korean officials, North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles on Monday morning.
According to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff, the missiles were fired from the eastern part of Pyongyang's airport. North Korea also tested missiles on January 5, 11 and 14.
The United States last week imposed further sanctions on North Korea following new missile tests.
Japanese officials say North Korea's missile test is being closely monitored.
