FLORIDA: Israel's defense minister has said he has ordered his air force to prepare for an attack on Iran and has alerted the United States.
According to the International News Agency, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz has said that in a meeting with the US Secretary of Defense in Washington, the Israeli Air Force has informed about the readiness to attack Iran.
Speaking to reporters in Florida, Secretary of Defense Benny Gantz added that during the meeting, US officials endorsed Israel's position and agreed that Iran was the biggest problem in the world.
Criticizing Iran, the Israeli defense minister said that no progress had been made on the global nuclear deal, which was due to Iran's irresponsible behavior and that Iran was playing games with the United States over the nuclear deal.
A senior Israeli Defense Ministry official told foreign media on condition of anonymity that Secretary of Defense Benny Gantz also briefed his US counterpart Lloyd Austin on the "timeline" for the attack on Iran.
The day before, the Israeli defense minister had expressed anger at Iran, saying that the patience of the United States and European countries was running out and that he believed that Iran was sabotaging the nuclear talks.
It should be noted that the second round of talks between the United States and Iran for the withdrawal of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is underway in Vienna.
