WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A former New York governor accused of sexually abusing his brother has been fired by the US news channel CNN for advising him to deal with the allegations.
According to the British news agency Reuters, CNN fired its news anchor Chris Como for giving fraternal advice to his brother Andrew Como to avoid being accused of sexual abuse.
CNN Network announced that the news anchor tried to help his brother Andrew Cuomo deal with the allegations.
Chris, who hosts CNN's most-watched primetime news show, also admitted that advising his brother was a violation of some of the News Network's rules. Chris advised Andrew Cuomo from a public relations perspective.
Andrew Cuomo, 63, was forced to step down as governor of New York in August after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct, but the former governor has denied any wrong doing.
