Israel has threatened to launch an early attack on Iran, but the US administration says Israel does not have the power to do so immediately.
According to Al-Arabiya, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz, during his visit to the United States, informed US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin that he had ordered his troops to prepare for a possible attack on Iran. The result was not forthcoming and the international community knew that Iran was playing games with them. Israel has asked the US administration to expedite shipments of aviation fuel tankers that could be important for bombing Iran's nuclear facilities.
U.S. officials have said that Iran's threats are limited to "vultures" because the planes requested by Israel are unlikely to be ready before the end of 2024.
Israel's existing aviation refueling aircraft are more than 50 years old and have to rely on Poing 707, while the new fleet of the required KC46 tankers has high capabilities but at least two and a half hours in its manufacture and transfer. Years are required.
