Iranian President Ibrahim Raeisi will visit Russia early next year, the first visit by an Iranian president since 2017.
According to the International News Agency, President Vladimir Putin has invited Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to visit Russia, which his Iranian counterpart has accepted.
In this regard, a spokesman for the Iranian government said that President Ibrahim Raisi was preparing for a visit to Russia at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, which is expected next month. This will be the first visit to Russia by an Iranian president in four years.
According to a spokesman for the Iranian government, the visit will focus on bilateral, regional, national cooperation, especially economic and trade cooperation, which will have lasting consequences for peace in the region.
Russia, meanwhile, confirmed the Iranian president's visit, saying the two countries have important allies in the region and the two leaders would discuss the rapidly changing situation in the region.
Russia and Iran have strong political and military ties, and both countries want to keep up pressure on the United States.
It should be noted that Russia's relations with the United States and NATO countries have been strained over the Ukraine issue, due to which Russia is now engaged in a new alignment.
