A case of fraud in NA-75 Daska

 

The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to take action against the officers involved in rigging in NA-75 Daska under criminal law.

A statement issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said that all those involved would be subjected to departmental action while the ECP had sought drafts of criminal complaints from the concerned departments. Recommendations have been sought while the concerned departments have been directed to submit recommendations within a week for approval.

It is to be noted that in the by-election of NA-75, the Election Commission had issued a report saying that there was rigging in this by-election. After this rigging, the Election Commission of Pakistan had demanded action from the Punjab government against the officials involved.
