A photo of British Prince William's wife and Princess Kate Middleton has caused a stir on social media.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, the image of the Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Kate Middleton with bruises on their faces went viral, much to the astonishment of consumers.
The painting was originally created by artist Alexandro Palembo, who uses influential and powerful figures in his work against domestic abuse.
Palembo poses with Kate Middleton, European Commission President Arsula van der Leyen, US Vice President Camilla Harris, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and Queen Letizia of Spain for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2021.
He has used a number of celebrities, including former First Lady Michelle Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Bridget Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The photo of Kate Middleton states that she was left alone but she was not safe. She did not stop. She was killed anyway.
The artist said he wanted to draw attention to the negative response from politicians to gender-based violence.
She writes that a state that does not protect women but leaves them alone in the hands of their perpetrators becomes a silent ally.
