Floods in Sri Lanka and southern India have killed at least nine people.
Half of the 25 districts of Sri Lanka have been inundated due to one week of torrential rains. The Indian state of Tamil Nadu is also under flood. Five people have drowned so far in Sri Lanka and four in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the Meteorological Department has forecast more rains next week.
