The World Health Organization (WHO) says that despite being vaccinated, the risk of contracting corona has not been averted.
The head of the World Health Organization, Ted Ross Adenham, told the media in a briefing that vaccinated people should also wear masks, keep social distance and avoid crowds.
He said it was important for countries around the world to take steps to prevent a new wave of corona outbreaks in the future.
The head of the WHO said there was a misconception in many countries and communities that the vaccine had stopped the spread of the corona virus and that vaccinated people did not need to take precautions.
He added that vaccines save lives, but do not completely stop the transmission of the corona virus. Vaccinated people have a much lower risk of becoming seriously ill or dying from corona, but those infected with the corona virus and others. The risk of infection remains.
Ted Ross also said that 60 percent of the corona cases reported worldwide last week were found in Europe, and that while Europe has once again become the epicenter of the corona virus, no country is immune.
