US President Joe Biden has ignored China and invited 110 countries to attend a virtual conference on democracy next month.
Among the countries invited by President Joe Biden are Pakistan and India. In addition, all major allies and Iraq have been invited to attend the conference.
On the one hand, China has not been invited to the conference, and on the other hand, Taiwan has been invited, a dispute that has already strained relations between the United States and China. Now that President Joe Biden has ignored China and invited Taiwan to the conference, analysts say Sino-US relations are in danger of deteriorating.
Unlike China, Turkey has not been invited to the conference even though it is a leading member of NATO. Of the Middle East, only Iraq and Israel have been invited. The United States' traditional Arab allies, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, have not been invited. The conference will be held on December 9 and 10.
