The price of oil and ghee will be reduced by up to Rs 50

 

Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar said that increase in prices of commodities was due to increase in demand, prices of commodities increased not only in Pakistan but all over the world.

Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar not only acknowledged the rise in inflation in Pakistan but also revealed the reasons to the nation. He said that Cowade had shut down the world. Gone Our smart lockdown policy has been appreciated by the world. We have kept the essential industries open and closed. The prices of petroleum products have gone up globally due to which the price of petrol in Pakistan has gone up so much. They are wondering when the global prices will come down. The government could have given relief to the petroleum products. In one year, the price of LNG has increased by 135%, the global price of sugar has increased by 53%, in Pakistan it has increased by 15%. The target has been set at Rs 90, the global price of urea has risen by 67 per cent and in Pakistan by 28 per cent.

We have brought other taxes, including the levy, to a very low level so that the people can get relief. We can only reduce the taxes we have imposed. The rising prices of petrol globally are beyond our control.

Asad Umar said that the price of crude oil has gone up by about 81%, sales tax on diesel used to be 17% which has been reduced to 10.3% today. Instead of raising prices, taxes were reduced. Today, food and energy sources have become very expensive in the world, but there is still a small difference in the prices of flour, edible oil, onions, peanuts, tomatoes, sugar and eggs in Pakistan. It is much cheaper than its neighbors.
