I was used as a 'tool' to target Imran Khan, Jemima

Imran Khan's ex and first wife Jaime Goldsmith has revealed a decade and a half after her marriage ended that she was used as a 'tool' to politically target her husband.

In an exclusive interview with the Evening Standard, Jaime Goldsmith, 47, of British descent, said the decision to marry a man twice her age was not an easy one and that the people she married were no ordinary people.

According to Jaime Goldsmith, at the age of 21, she married a man twice her age who was politically strong.

Prime Minister Imran Khan's ex-wife said that she belonged to the white race while she married a black man which was the exact opposite of her culture.

Jaime Goldsmith said she was used as a "tool" to target her husband.

She also revealed that she had been accused of smuggling antiquities, which forced him to leave Pakistan in a hurry, as the allegation was one of the few crimes not guaranteed in Pakistan.

Although Jaime Goldsmith said she was accused of smuggling antiquities and used them as a "tool" to target her husband, she did not say who accused her and Who wanted to use them as 'pieces'?

Jaime Goldsmith also said in an interview that when she married Imran Khan and moved to Pakistan, people in India used to ask her sister how her sister moved to Pakistan.

She also admitted that after moving to Pakistan, her thinking about 'Orange Marriage' changed. At first, she only believed in marriages of love or choice, but she saw many Orange Marriages in Pakistan.

Jemima Goldsmith said that the children of her husband Imran Khan's friends were adamant that if their Orange marriage was being arranged, Jemima should be included in it, otherwise they would not get married.

Jaime Goldsmith also said in an interview that the story of her upcoming romantic comedy film 'What's Love Got To Do With It' also revolves around an arranged marriage in Pakistan.

According to him, the story of the film revolves around a 30-year-old female filmmaker who arrives from the UK to shoot a Pakistan Arranged Marriage and then there are many new twists in the film.

Jaime Goldsmith said she spent a decade writing the story "What's Love Got To Do With It".

During the interview, he also talked about his sons Suleiman and Qasim and said that Suleiman is 24 years old while Qasim is 22 years old and both of them have deep ties with Pakistan.

It may be recalled that Jaime Goldsmith had married Imran Khan in 1995 and the two were divorced in 2004.

After his divorce from Jemima Khan, Imran Khan got married for the second time in January 2015 to TV anchor Reham Khan, which lasted only 10 months.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had his third marriage in February 2018 to Bushra Bibi.
