In almost all international airlines, most women wear flight skirts and heels during cabin crew, but now a Ukrainian airline has decided to change the dress code.
Ukraine's private airline Skyup has decided to remove the requirement of pencil skirts and heels for in-flight cabin crews after consulting with air hostesses.
"After researching the cabin crew's attire, we decided to get rid of the traditional flight attendant's attire and now women will be able to tie a pony in the cabin crew's hair," the airline said.
Alexandrina Danny Senko, an experienced air hostess, says that sometimes she doesn't even have a minute to sit up during the flight, which causes her legs to swell after standing in the heels for hours on end.
Due to the difficulties faced by the flight attendants during the flight, Sky-Up has changed the dress of the cabin crew from skirts to orange loose trousers and coats of the same color. In addition, cabin crews will now wear comfortable white sneakers instead of heels.
Alexandrina Danny Senko says there is no denying that heels look more beautiful than shoes, but it makes the feet swell and sneakers are very comfortable.
He added that God forbid, if a crew member ever had to go into the water or evacuate in an emergency, the stairs could be damaged by the heels and it would be difficult to swim in a skirt.
