Riyadh: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and UAE National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed met in a fraternal atmosphere on the Red Sea.
According to the International News Agency, relations between Qatar and Arab countries are improving with each passing day. Following the sanctions imposed in 2017, other Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, have now announced the resumption of diplomatic and trade relations, but the United Arab Emirates has shown reluctance.
However, now the director of the Saudi Crown Prince's private office, Badr al-Assakir, has shared a photo on Twitter showing the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the UAE's national security chief. Badr al-Assakr wrote in the caption of the tweet that the meeting of the three leaders in the Red Sea on Friday was a cliff-free and fraternal meeting.
The costumes of the three princes also show that the meeting took place in a private atmosphere and it seems that the princes have chosen a picnic point to resolve disputes. The UAE adviser met with the Emir of Qatar four years later.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt imposed diplomatic, trade and travel bans on Qatar in 2017, accusing it of supporting terrorism, but Qatar vehemently denied the allegations.
Earlier this year, US-mediated Qatar reached an agreement with Saudi Arabia and three other Arab countries, after which Saudi Arabia and Egypt have even restored diplomatic relations.
