ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has started talks with the Afghan Taliban.
Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted that he had detailed meetings and talks with leaders of Afghanistan's neighbors and Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
"I have started talks with the Taliban to include Tajiks, Uzbeks and Hazaras in the Afghan government. After 40 years of conflict, an all-nation government will bring peace and stability to Afghanistan," said Prime Minister Imran Khan. Afghanistan will be in the interest of the whole region.
After mtgs in Dushanbe with leaders of Afghanistan's neighbours & especially a lengthy discussion with Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon, I have initiated a dialogue with the Taliban for an inclusive Afghan govt to include Tajiks, Hazaras & Uzbeks.
