An Afghan Taliban spokesman says the announcement of a new Afghan administration has been delayed until Saturday.

Earlier, the British Broadcasting Corporation reported that various key Taliban officials and leaders, including Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Mullah Yaqub and Sher Muhammad Abbas Stanikzai, had arrived in the Afghan capital, Kabul, to form a new Afghan administration.
The Taliban official also said that preparations for the announcement of a new Afghan government in the capital Kabul were in the final stages.
According to the foreign news agency, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar will head the Afghan government, Mullah Mohammad Yaqub and Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai will be given important positions in the government.
The foreign news agency also said Taliban leader Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada would focus on religious affairs and governance.
